About Learn To Race

Learn to race instruction is available for those wishing to fine tune their sailing skills and become more connected to the Racing/Sailing Community. Join us on race days as part of Windswept's racing crew. Not an official ISPA Certificate program, rather an introduction to racing. Practice time takes place prior to races, and training takes place during actual racing programs. We have spots for 2 people per session where you will learn:

  • Starting Tactics
  • Upwind Tactics
  • Down Wind Tactics
  • Race Rules
  • Committee Boat and More

Prerequisites: Competent Crew/Day Skipper

Course Locations: Lake Wabamun

Where weather conditions prevent a scheduled course or outing, alternative dates will be provided.

A deposit is required to hold your space. Bookings are on a first come, first served basis. Max. 2 Per Course.
